Research shows that 1 in 7 moms suffer from postpartum depression. When you are feeling this way it impacts multiple parts of your life. It’s difficult to maintain healthy relationships, excel at work, and fulfill daily functions of life.
You are not alone and you can get better! In therapy you will learn about self-care, self-compassion, emotional regulation and coping skills. Once you learn these skills, you will feel more confident in your daily life. When you put yourself as a priority, you will be a better mom, partner and the other roles you have in your life. It can be hard to take yourself off the back burner, but it is imperative to take care of yourself. Coming to therapy is a brave step to work toward making yourself a priority!
I am specifically trained in perinatal mental health and have learned theory and techniques that will help you reach your goals. Together we will work through the feelings and thoughts that are overwhelming your ability to be the mom you want to be. This is a unique time in your life and you need specific intervention tailored to your needs.
