Being pregnant can be hard and it’s not what you imagined it would be like.
You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed and emotionally flooded during your pregnancy. It could be your first or your last because each pregnancy can be very unique due to many factors in your life. You feel like you are the only pregnant mom to feel this way because this is supposed to be a wonderful time in your life. That can be a very lonely place to be. It’s hard to reach out to your friends and family because you do not want anyone to think you are not enjoying your pregnancy.
That’s where I can help and provide a supportive, nonjudgmental place to talk about all the things you are scared to voice out loud. Mental health care during pregnancy is just as important as physical prenatal care especially if you are feeling symptoms of anxiety and depression. You will feel more confident during pregnancy and we will work together to create a healthy mindset, self-compassion and coping skills to attain your goals of feeling more prepared and joyful during your pregnancy. You will also have the information needed to recognize if you will need to continue counseling during the postpartum period. If the extra support is needed, you will know how to reach out for more support.
